Tylosin Phosphate Premix Powder 8.8%
FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY
Composition:Per 1 gram contains
Tylosin Phosphate 88mg.
Pharmacological Action:
Pharmacodynamics
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome to block transpeptidation and mRNA displacement. This effect is basically limited to fast-dividing bacteria and mycoplasma, a fast-acting bacteriostatic agent during the growth period. This product is mainly effective against Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma, but has a weaker effect on bacteria.
It has a strong effect on mycoplasma. Sensitive gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Listeria, Clostridium putrefaction, Clostridium emphysema, etc. Sensitive bacteria can develop resistance to tylosin, and Staphylococcus aureus has partial cross-resistance to tylosin and erythromycin.
Pharmacokinetics
Tylosin can be absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration, and the peak blood concentration is reached 1 hour after oral administration in pigs. Tylosin phosphate is less absorbed. The concentration of tylosin into milk is about 20% of the serum concentration in the same period. Tylosin is excreted in urine and bile in its original form.
Drug Interactions:
(1) Since it has the same target as other macrolides and lincosamides, it is not suitable to be used at the same time.
(2) Combined use with β-lactams shows antagonism.
Indications:
Macrolide antibiotics. It is mainly used to prevent and treat diseases caused by mycoplasma infection in pigs and chickens, and also to treat necrotizing enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
Dosage & Administration:
Based on this product.
Mixed feeding: Every 1000kg of feed is used to prevent and control bacterial and mycoplasma infections in livestock and poultry, 113.6-1136g for pigs and 45.5-568.2g for chickens.
Adverse Reactions:
Can cause dose-dependent gastrointestinal disorders.
Precautions:
(1) Prohibited during the laying period of laying hens.
(2) Since it has the same target as other macrolides and lincosamides, it should not be used at the same time.
