Roxithromycin has a broad antibacterial spectrum, against various streptococci (including A, B, C streptococcus and streptococcus pneumoniae, but G and enterococcus except), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus aureus (Except for MRSA), Staphylococcus epidermidis, Legionella pneumophila, Haemophilus ducrei, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, oral or vaginal anaerobes have almost the same antibacterial activity as erythromycin.
