When the water ring passes through the gap, a water layer is also formed, which is called water sealing layer.

Under the action of vacuum strong water absorption, when the water layer passes through the gap, a water seal layer is formed, which is tightly maintained and produces high sealing degree. Therefore, the characteristics of graphite seal are incomparable with other materials.
