MBBR was developed and applied in the mid-1990s. It has the advantages of both traditional fluidized bed and biological contact oxidation. It is a new and efficient sewage treatment method. At present, most of the suspended fillers are made of modified materials of polyethylene and polypropylene, and the specific gravity is close to water. After the biofilm is grown, it is very easy to achieve the fluidization and turnover of the whole tank under normal aeration intensity. During the continuous rolling process, the biochemical filler is constantly in contact with the water gas mixture to complete the denitrification process, and the aged biofilm is updated by collision in this process.
