Generic name: ribavirin buccal tablets

The main ingredient of this product is ribavirin.

Indications are suitable for respiratory syncytial virus caused by viral pneumonia and bronchitis, cutaneous herpes virus infection, influenza and herpetic stomatitis.

Adverse reactions Common adverse reactions include anemia, fatigue, and so on, which disappear after drug withdrawal. Less common adverse reactions include fatigue, headache, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, mild diarrhea, constipation, etc., and may cause the decrease of red blood cells, white blood cells and hemoglobin.

Contraindicated for allergy and pregnant women.

1. This product has strong teratogenic effect. The daily dose of 1mg/kg in rabbits can cause embryo damage, so it is forbidden to be used in pregnant women and women who are likely to become pregnant.

2. A small amount of drugs are excreted from milk, and are toxic to both mother and child and the second generation of animals. Therefore, breastfeeding women should stop breastfeeding during the medication period, and milk should also be discarded. This product is not intended for use in lactating women because RSV infection is self-limited.

3. Not recommended for the elderly.
