Description

RAD-140 (Testolone) is a nonsteroidal selective, that resulted from an internal drug discovery program that began in 2005. RAD-140 has demonstrated potent anabolic activity on muscle and bone in preclinical studies and has completed 28-day preclinical toxicology studies in both rats and monkeys. Because of its high anabolic efficacy, receptor selectivity, potent oral activity and long duration half-life, we believe that RAD-140 has clinical potential in a number of indications where the increase in lean muscle mass and/or bone density is beneficial, such as treating the weight loss due to cancer cachexia, muscle frailty and osteoporosis


Function:

1) May Increase Muscle Mass
This drug was developed to prevent muscle wasting, and animal studies do indeed show that improves muscle growth and strength in animals.
When given to castrated rats for 4 weeks, increased muscle weight as markedly as DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Moreover, unlike DHT, caused no prostate enlargement, which is a concern when taking steroids.
Twelve weeks after castration, was able to restore lean body (muscle) mass in rats.

2) May Increase Bone Strength and Combat Osteoporosis
increased bone mineral density and strength in both castrated male rats and in female rats whose ovaries had been removed (this is a commonly used animal model of osteoporosis).
may be especially beneficial in osteoporosis because, in addition to improving bone density, it also improves muscle strength, which may help reduce the risk of falls and fractures.

3) May Help Fat Loss
In female rats whose ovaries have been removed, apart from improving bone strength, also decreased body fat.
