This product is antifungus with three azol rings. It has antibiotic function both to deep and surface fungus. In clinical Practice,it is mainly used in the treatment of systems infection Caused by deep fungi and candida.
1.Itraconazol has a broader spectrum of activity than fluconazol (but not as broad as voriconazol or posaconazol). In particular, it is active against Aspergillus which fluconazol is not.
2.It is also prescribed for systemic infections, such as aspergillosis, candidiasis, and cryptococcosis
3.Itraconazol has also recently been explored as an anticancer agent for patients with basal cell carcinoma.
