grain size 8-10 micron isostatic graphite for EDM:
bulk density | grain size | compressvie strength | bending strength | porosity | ash content |
1.91g | 8-10 micron | 135 | 60 | 11% | 500 |
EDM as industry with huge demands for the isostatic graphite,is well known because its demanding requirements, which played an ineligible role during the development of the global isostatic graphite technology.
EDM graphite has the following advantages:
Easier to machine, the speed of rough milling with graphite is 2-3 times that of copper(5 times when smoothing milling),and there is no burr, which means easy to polish.Less wear, the low wear ratio makes sure the graphite get nearly to wear in the EDM processing.Lighter weight: Graphite density determines that it can be more suitable for large electrode and more easily to take.Lower coefficient of thermal expansion,it has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which guarantees stability of electrode geometry during EDM.More resistant to heat, the melting point of graphite electrode is up to 3600 degrees, can withstand greater amperes.Fewer electrodes: Fewer electrodes are needed during the EDM,which can will reduce the workload of measuring.
