flume'thasones ,a synthetic adrenocortical steroid, is a white or slightly yellow, crystalline powder.

It is freely soluble in water and is exceedingly hygroscopic. The molecular weight is 516.41. 

flumethasones is given to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, to prevent certain side-effects.


Function & Application:

1. flume'thasones is a synthetic adrenocortical steroid used to treat inflammatory and autoimmune
conditions;
2. flume'thasones is used to treat conditions such as skin conditions, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis,
arthritis, allergic disorders and breathing related problems;
3. flume'thasones is also used in the treatment of high altitude cerebral edema.
