Quinidine sulfate is an antiarrhythmic drug, suitable for atrial premature beats, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, pre-excitation syndrome with supraventricular arrhythmia, ventricular premature beats, Maintenance treatment of ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter after electrical conversion. Quinidine sulfate mainly acts on the atrioventricular muscle and Purkinje fibers, and is a cell membrane inhibitor.

It directly acts on the ion channels of the cell membrane, mainly inhibits the influx of Na+, and also blocks the outflow of K+. Ca2+ internal flow slows down the 0-phase rising speed of the slow motion potential, reduces the 4-phase slope, and prolongs the action potential time course and effective refractory period. It can increase the threshold potential and decrease the autonomy, conductivity and myocardial contractility, which is beneficial to eliminate reentrant excitement and ectopic rhythm. Quinidine sulfate still has an anticholinergic effect, which increases the heart rate. A large amount of it can dilate blood vessels and block alpha receptors, causing blood pressure to drop.
