Hexamidine diisethionate CAS 659-40-5 is a salt of the amidine base "Hexamidine" and two equivalents of the sulphonic acid "Isethionic Acid". It has a long track record of use as anti-microbial agent since the 1950s, especially for products where mildness and safety.

Hexamidine diisethionate CAS 659-40-5 is a hydrosoluble antimicrobial cationic substance with a wide spectrum of activity against bacteria, fungi and yeasts. Hexamidine may be used as a polyvalent preservative, as well as a cutaneous aseptizer, more and more used by the cosmetic industry.

Hexamidine Diisethionate is mainly used for acne and anti-acne products, shampoo, hair care products, preservatives, anti-sweat formula, emulsion, mask, gel, water, alcohol solution, foam preparation, spray, etc.
