O-Cymen-5-ol is used as a preservative and anti-acne agent in cosmetics. This ingredient is an anti-fungal preservative, which can extend the shelf life of the product. The upper limit of this ingredient is 0.1%. The melting point is 112°C and the boiling point is 244°C. The solubility at room temperature is about 36% in ethanol, 65% in methanol, 50% in isopropanol, 32% in n-butanol. not soluble in water.
Application Characteristics:
It is almost tasteless and odorless. It has mild astringency which is suitable for cosmetic application
