Material of cutter ring

Steel H13, with hardness HRC55-60, shrink fit with hub.

Generally the cutter ring material in two types, totally abrasion-resistant steel and steel with tungsten carbide inserts. The cutting edge of roller disc cutter is desiged in different shape according to different hardness of rock.

According to the work condition, the cutter ring should features:

1. High yield strength, to prevent deformation under high stress;
2. High hardness, increase the abrasion resistance decrease the wear and tear; High impact ductility, prevent any fracture;
3. High resistance to tempering, increase the heat endurance to guarantee the hardness under hot charging or rolling the rock;
4. High processing property for hot working and cold working.
