Applications

1. Cadmium telluride solar cells, compared with monocrystalline silicon solar cells, have the advantages of easy manufacture, low cost and light weight. CdTe thin film solar cell, called CdTe cell, is a thin film solar cell based on the heterogeneous combination of P-type CdTe and N-type CdS. The standard cadmium telluride thin film solar cell consists of five layers: the back electrode, the back contact layer, the CdTe absorption layer, the CdTe window layer and the TCO layer.
