Pearl Powder

Food Pearl Powder is a finely milled powder made from freshwater pearls, which contains a number of amino acids and several minerals. It can also be made from saltwater pearls. It is considered by its proponents to help improve the appearance of the skin. A typical dose is 1 gram of pearl powder taken by mouth, traditionally mixed into water or tea, twice weekly. Food Grade Pearl Powder is widely used as a treatment for acne as it is thought to have a purifying effect on the skin, to be good for sensitive skin, and to be effective at fading acne scars.

Product Application
1. Make a pearl powder mask
Directions: Empty one capsule of pearl powder into a bowl and add water of rose water, a few drops at a time, until you have a thick liquid that you can apply to your face with fingers. Let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. I use only one capsule of this pearl powder per mask, so one bottle contains enough for 100 masks.
2. Use pearl powder as a finishing powder
Directions: To use pearl powder as a face powder, I empty a capsule of the pearl powder onto a saucer, dip in a fluffy makeup brush, and very lightly brush it over my face.
