L-Arabinose, also known as pectinose or pectin sugar, which is a kind of aldopentose.
L-(+)-Arabinose; L-Arabinose is used as a substrate to identify, differentiate and characterize pentose sugar isomerase(s). L-Arabinose is used in the bioproduction of L-ribose.It's easily soluble in water and glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol and not soluable in aether.
It is highly stable under the condition of heat and acid.
