Refractory castable is a mixture composed of refractory aggregate, powder and binder. After adding water or other liquids, it is suitable for construction by casting and vibration method, and can also be made into prefabricated parts with prescribed shape and size in advance, which can be used to construct the lining of industrial furnace.The refractory castable has certain setting and hardening time after construction, so after casting and forming, it can be demoulded after a certain time of curing, and then it can be put into baking after a proper time of natural curing.
Refractory castable site construction is convenient, high efficiency, good quality, and can be used according to different parts and conditions of the use of excellent performance of the material.Therefore, refractory castable is a kind of amorphous refractory material with large dosage and wide application scope in furnace building engineering.
The refractory castable is widely used in building materials industry (cement kiln), petrochemical industry, electric power industry, metallurgy industry, non-ferrous metal and its high temperature kiln with similar working conditions.

Main technical points of refractory castable construction:
(1) In the construction, the mix ratio of refractory castable shall not be arbitrarily changed, and water or other materials shall not be arbitrarily added to the mixed refractory castable;
(2) the formwork used for casting should have sufficient strength and stiffness, the size of the supporting formwork should be accurate, and prevent deformation in the construction process;
(3) the seam of the template should be tight without leakage, and anti-sticking measures should be taken on the template;
(4) Waterproof measures shall be taken on the surface of heat insulation masonry in contact with castable materials;
(5) The casting of refractory castable shall be carried out continuously. Before the condensation of the former castable, the secondary castable shall be finished. If the batch exceeds the condensation time, it shall be treated according to the requirements of the construction joints.Construction joints should be left in the same row of anchor brick center line;
(6) after construction, the refractory castable shall be maintained according to the prescribed design method, and shall not be subjected to external force or vibration during the maintenance.
