Part One: What is orgainc silicon defoamer?

Defoaming agent is a kind of auxiliary agent whose function is to eliminate the foam formed in the production process. The main component of organic silicon defoamer is the silicone component called silicone oil. Silicone oil is a non-volatile oily liquid at room temperature. It is insoluble in water, animal and vegetable oils and mineral oils, or has very low solubility, and can withstand high temperatures as well as low temperatures. The chemical properties are inert, the physical properties are stable, and there is no biological activity.

Part Two:How to use a double sigma mixer to produce silicone defoamer?

1) Add silicon dioxide and dimethyl silicone oil to the double sigma mixer in turn, and after mixing uniformly, make a silicone paste at a constant temperature of 120°C for 2 hours;

2) Under stirring conditions, add several emulsifiers to the deionized water at 50~60ºC, and stir well to prepare a composite emulsifier;

3) Slowly add the prepared silicone paste to the dimethyl silicone oil under the stirring of a high-speed disperser, and stir thoroughly to mix the silicone oil and the silicone paste evenly;

4) Slowly add the prepared composite emulsifier under stirring, stir and heat to 50C~80ºC, and then slowly and evenly add the remaining deionized water, if the viscosity suddenly increases and the phase inversion occurs, stop adding water and continue After stirring evenly, add the remaining deionized water dropwise, and then slowly add the stabilizer, and then stir to make coarse milk after the addition, and cool to 30°C;

5) Adjust the colloid mill to the position that is most conducive to the stability of the emulsion, make the emulsion pass through the colloid mill repeatedly, and package the emulsion that meets the requirements to become a defoamer product.

Part Three: Why do you need a double sigma kneader?

Usually speaking,we mostly use the followed types of mixers: V type mixer,ribbon mixer, coulter mixer, paddle mixer, double screw mixer, double sigma kneader, planetary mixer, etc. But only kneader and planetary mixer are suitable for high-viscosity materials mixing. Compared with planetary mixer,the kneader has a wider range of application to the viscosity of the material, but the material remaining and cleaning may not be as thorough as the planetary mixer. When customers have more colors or varieties,he should try to choose planetary mixers.
