Product introduction
Cuprous oxide, with the chemical formula Cu2O, is an oxide of monovalent copper. It is a bright red powder solid, almost insoluble in water. It is disproportioned into divalent copper and copper elemental in acidic solution, and gradually oxidized into black copper oxide in wet air. Cuprous oxide is mainly used to make antifouling paint on ship bottom (used to kill low-grade marine animals), insecticides, various copper salts, analytical reagents and red glass. It is also used to prepare copper plating and copper alloy plating solutions.

Main purpose:
Cuprous oxide is used to make antifouling paint on the bottom of ships (killing low-grade marine animals). It is used as bactericide, colorant for ceramics and enamel, red glass colorant, as well as various copper salts, analytical reagents, rectifier electroplating in electrical industry, bactericide for crops, rectifier materials, etc. Cuprous oxide is also commonly used as a catalyst for organic synthesis.
Transportation
Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. It shall be stored separately from reducing agent, alkali metal and edible chemicals, and mixed storage shall not be allowed. The storage area shall be provided with suitable materials to contain leakage.
The package shall be complete and the loading shall be stable. During transportation, ensure that the container does not leak, collapse, fall or damage. It is strictly prohibited to load and transport with reducing agents, alkali metals, edible chemicals, etc. During transportation, it shall be protected from sun exposure, rain and high temperature. The vehicle shall be thoroughly cleaned after transportation.
