Scope of Application:

It is suitable for waterproof and moisture-proof of roof and underground of industrial and civil buildings, as well as waterproof projects of bridges, parking lots, swimming pools, tunnels and other infrastructures, especially for buildings in areas with high temperature or strong solar radiation.

 

Construction Application:

1. Base course requirements:

The base course must be flat, clean, dry, and the moisture content should be less than 9%. Then, the base course surface should be evenly painted with primer oil, and the construction can be carried out after it is dry. No primer oil is needed if the cold bonding construction is adopted. For the joints, holes, ditches, walls, pipes and corners, where the parts that are complex in shape, stress concentration and easy to cause leakage, reinforcement layer construction should be carried out.

 

2. Membrane paving sequence and direction:

The paving sequence of Membrane is high-span first, then low-span, the same height, far before the close, so as to avoid trampling and damage of paved roof due to transportation. The same plane shall be paved from the lower part, and the paving direction shall be parallel to the ridge when the roof slope is less than 3%; the paving shall be parallel or perpendicular to the ridge direction when the slope is between 3% ~ 15%; it shall be paved perpendicular to the ridge direction when the slope is more than 15%; it shall be parallel to the water flow direction of the overlap joint of the roof ridge; when it is perpendicular to the roof ridge, the joint shall be paved with the dominant wind direction.

 

3. Paving method:

a. Hot-melt method: the flame spray gun or other heating tools are used to evenly heat the bottom surface and the base course of the Membrane. When the asphalt on the surface begins to melt and appears black and bright, pave the Membrane while baking, and compact with the roller. At the same time, the flame size and speed should be adjusted to keep the asphalt temperature between 200~205°C. The overlap joint should be sealed with cold adhesive after the work.

 

b. Cold bonding method: the rubber scraper is used to evenly brush the cold adhesive such as high polymer modified asphalt adhesive or cold mastic on the surface of the base course, and the thickness is controlled to be uniform. The rubber roller is used to push the roll while paving the Membrane to eliminate air until it is compacted. When the ambient temperature is lower than 15°C, the hot-melt method should be used to treat the overlap joint and Membrane end.

 

4. Overlap joint treatment

When the long side is overlapped, the width of single layer waterproof in longitudinal and transverse direction shall be no less than 100mm, that of double layer shall be no less than 80mm; for short-side overlapped, that of single layer shall be no less than 150mm, and that of double layer shall be more than or equal to 100mm. At the same time, the bonding shall be uniform, and there shall be a small amount of surplus hot-melt asphalt or cold adhesive extruded and formed into strips.

 

5. Inspection and acceptance

After the completion of construction, detailed inspection shall be carried out to ensure that the waterproof surface is free from bulge, wrinkle, falling off and large shell lifting, so as to ensure the excellent waterproof effect of the project.

 

Instruction of Packing, Transportation and Storage:

1. Plastic tape is packaged in rolls.

2. Transportation and storage:

a. During storage and transportation, products of different types and specifications shall be stored separately and shall not be mixed.

b. Avoid exposure to the sunlight and rain. The storage temperature should not be higher than 50°C. Vertical storage can only be single layer, and no more than two layers during transportation.

c. During transportation, it is necessary to prevent tilting or transverse pressure, and cover with tarpaulin when necessary.

d. Storage period: under normal storage and transportation conditions, the storage period is one year from the date of production.
