Sorbic acid is also used as a preservative in pharmaceutical industry, light industry, cosmetics, flue-cured tobacco leaves, and as an insecticide. In addition, it is also used to prepare reagents, used as unsaturated acid in resin, perfume, rubber industry and feed.
