MPRS is a series consisting of two different categories, i. E. The MPRS Thin-wall and MPRS Medium-Wall and MPRS Heavy-Wall, both are specially designed and developed to provide insulation enhancement and protection against flashover and accidentally induced discharge in low voltage and medium voltage conditions separately ranging from 600V~36KV. Particularly useful in confined spaces MPRS tubing can be used on both circular and rectangular copper or aluminum busbars. On application of heat the tubing shrinks snugly over the busbar profile ensuring that the required minimum wall thickness is obtained. MPRS tubing can be installed easily during large scale production using an oven or in the field using a gas torch or hot air. MPRS tubing is manufactured from a environment friendly based polyolefin which has excellent performance in high voltage environments and greatly reduces the noxious and corrosive effects in fire situations

Applications

MPRS tubing, with its high mechanical and electrical performance, finds extensive applications in various electrical power markets, however, it's designed primarily for the following purposes:
Insulation, phase separation and protection of low voltage electrical bus bar, rectangular, square and round bus bars, inline bolted connections of rectangular bus bars, copper or aluminum bus bars, metal-clad switchgear, metal-enclosed bus bar, substation switchgear etc.
