Use: An antifungal pharmaceutical raw materials. It is used both in animal and in humans, to treat rigworm infections of the skin and nails. It is derived from the mold Penicillium griseofulvum.

Griseofulvin is an antibiotics which is extracted from the cultivation of the fermented liquid of the Penicilli - um griseofulvum .

Soluble in tetrachloroethane, aceton and chlorofor, slightly soluble in methano or ethanol, very slightly soluble in water. Odourless or almost odourless, taste bitter, on the thermal stability.

Function 

1) Griseofulvin is an antifungal drug that is administered orally. It is used both in animals and in humans, to treat fungal infections of the skin (commonly known as ringworm) and nails.
