Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate

Synonyms: Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate; Calcium monohydrogen phosphate; Calcium Phosphate Dibasic; Dibasic Calcium Phosphate.

It occurs as a white, odorless, tasteless powder that is stable in air. It is practically insoluble in water, but is readily soluble in dilute hydrochloric and nitric acids. It is insoluble in alcohol. It contains two molecules of water of hydration.

It is produced by the reaction of H3PO4 and CaCO3. 

Usage:
It is widely used in food productions: Leavening Agent, Dough Conditioner, Nutrient, Dietary Supplement, Yeast Food.
It is a source of calcium, both in human food and animal feed. Other applications are in oral pharmaceutical products and dental products.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry area and not in direct sunlight. The preferred storage temperature should not exceed 0ºC-40ºC.
Shelf Life: 24 Months.
