Description:
Viton A-401C fluoroelastomer is an incorporated cure"A-family"dipolymer designed for compression molding of sealing devices that must meet specific fluoroelastomer specifications. In addition to the heat and chemical resistance characteristics typical of Viton fluoroelastomers, Viton A-401C offers significant improvements in processing and rheology. Viton A-401C can be blended with similar Viton types to provide variations in processing, properties, and shrinkage.
Viton A-201C fluoroelastomer is an incorporated cure"A-family"dipolymer designed for injection molding of sealing devices that must meet major fluoroelastomer specifications. In addition to the chemical and heat resistance characteristics typical of fluoroelastomers,Viton A-201C offers significant improvements in processing and rheology. Viton A-201C can be blended with similar Viton types to provide variations in processing, properties, and shrinkage.
Viton A-331C is an incorporated cure"A-family"dipolymer designed for the injection and transfer of molding parts requiring improved demolding "hot tear"resistance. The moderate viscosity level of Viton A-331C also allows for satisfactory compression molding of parts.
Viton A-361C is an incorporated cure"A-family"dipolymer designed for the injection and transfer molding of parts requiring better metal adhesion along with the fluid and heat resistance characteristics typical of fluoroelastomers. The moderate viscosity level of Viton A-361C also allows for satisfactory compression molding of parts.
Viton A-601C fluoroelastomer is a new generation incorporated cure"A-family"dipolymer designed for compression molding of sealing devices that must meet major fluoroelastomer specifications. In addition to the chemical and heat resistance characteristics typical of fluoroelastomers, Viton A-601C offers significant improvements in processing and rheology. Viton A-601C can be blended with similar Viton types to provide a range of processing performance and physical properties.
Overview:
The Viton A-type family of fluoroelastomers are dipolymers comprised of hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and vinylidene fluoride. They are used in a wide range of extrusion, injection molding, and solution coating applications, and some grades act as effective curing chemicals and metal adhesion promoters.
Typical application:
O-rings
Valve stem and shaft seals
Parts with complicated shapes
Fuel hoses and tubing
Solution coatings for fabrics, tanks, and chemical containers
Features and Benefits
All Viton A-type fluoroelastomers offer temperature and chemical resistance, but different grades may also provide additional benefits, such as:
Lower viscosity
Faster cure rate
Less mold fouling
Improved mold flow and release
Improved compression set resistance and tear properties
