Grease Worker ASTM D217 for measuring the consistency of lubricating greaseSignificance:
1. Cone penetration test results provide one measure of the consistency of Grease. With the help of the grease worker, the worked penetration results are determined. These worked penetration results are required to determine to which NLGI Consistency grade a grease belongs. Undisturbed penetration results provide means of evaluating the effect of storage conditions on grease consistency.2. Penetration tests are performed on petroleum products to determine consistency and shear stability (lubricating greases) for design, quality control and identification purposes.
3. The Grease Worker is used to prepare for lubricating grease cone penetration, specified size, mass, and covers four procedures to measure the consistency of lubricating greases finish with a cone penetrometer.
Specifications:- Motor: Horizontal single phase capacitor-start motor. Voltage : 220V; power: 370W; speed: 1400 rpm. Connect via the coupling and turbine reducer.
- Coupling: It adopts plum-shaped flexible coupling to connect the reducer and motor.
- Turbine reducer: Double shaft reducer. Transmission ratio: 25:1, a pair of eccentric gear are mounted on the turbine shaft at both ends of the reducer.
- Working unit: Installed on the engine base on both sides of the reducer, the motor is driven by the eccentric gear of the reducer through the coupling and continuously works with about 60 operations per minute.
- Counter display: Small plate counter. When the time relay is selected, a number (time) is set arbitrarily with a ripple switch. When the digit reaches the set value, it can drive the relay to work and cut off the power of the motor.
- Engineering stroke: 67~71mm, the diameter of each hole on the orifice is Φ6.35mm.
