4. Introduction to the crane structure
QTZ40 Tower crane composes metal structure, mechanism deriving, hydraulic lifting, power control and safeguard. The detailed information as follows:
4.1 General arrangement:
The foundation frame is fixed on the special concrete foundation. The upper part of the frame connects with the tower mast, and the upper part of the crane mast connects with the lower supporting board which connects the lifting jacket. The other end of the lower supporting board fixed to the slewing bearing's outer circle.
The rotary parts which fixed to the inner part of slewing bearing including the upper rotary platform, tower cap, balance arm, jib boom, range changing cart and the hook, counterweight, hoisting mechanism as well as slewing mechanism and the driver's cab. All the parts can make a 540°rotary around the crane.
The jib boom connects the tower cap by two draw bar while its root part connects the upper rotary platform by bolts.
Hoisting mechanism is at the middle rear end of the balance arm. The right of the slewing platform is the slewing mechanism and the left part is driver's cab. Both the range changing cart and the hook are on the root part of the jib boom, guiding by the derricking speed mechanism, shifts on the jib boom.
The height of the crane includes the height of foundation and standard section. The independent crane composes 11 sections while the in maximum height, that is 120m consists 48 sections and 6 anchorage device. The equipment to match the anchorage device should be fixed on the right position in advance.

On the diagonal direction of the reinforcement, there are four disassembly earlike boards, and the four diagonal stays connect by bolts on the upper side and connects the foundation earlike seat on the underside. The lifting mechanism consists the lifting climbing frame and the hydraulic lifting equipment. The lifting climbing frame is a steel frame structure which connects the lower supporting seat. Behind the lifting climbing frame are the lifting oil cylinder and the lifting beam. The hydraulic oil pump station is on the climbing frames' operation platform.  During the lifting, the lifting beam, climbing frame and the lower supporting seat lifting by the push of the oil cylinder. Lifting twice can insert one section.
When the height is no more than 30m, can use independent model, while exceed 30m, the adhered model should be used. No mater what conditions, the suspended part above the anchorage device should no more than 22m. When the crane is in its independent model, the tower includes one reinforced section and 10 pieces of standard section. Using the adhered model, the anchorage device and the standard sections can add as need.

4.2 Metal structure
The metal structure includes the foundation frame, the standard section, reinforced section, anchorage device, slewing bearings, the lower and upper supporting seats, the lower and upper rotary platform, tower cap, drive's cab, balance arm, jib boom, draw bar or the jib boom as well as the shift cart and the lifting climbing frame.  

4.2.1  Foundation frame and the diagonal stays:(Fig.2)
The foundation frame is a cross beam structure with one reinforced section and four diagonal stays. The cross frame is made of an entire beam and tow semi-beams. Diagonal stays are rectangular pipe with connects boards at two ends. The foundation section and the reinforced section are the same to the standard sections. While on the reinforced sections there are four disassembly supporting earlike board which connects four supporting stay by bolts. The foundation section stays at the center of the cross beam. Between the foundation sections, cross beam and the four stays are connected by the high strength bolts. It makes the install and the disassembly as well as the transporting work very easy.
4.2.2 Tower body:(Fig.3)
The tower body has standard section, reinforced section. There are standard section is a rectangular beam structure welted by angle steel. The connections of each two sections are 10.9 grade M27 high strength bolts.  Each standard section has a ladder for workers to use and in some of the sections platforms are established for worker to rest on.  The sections positions are changeable to reach a different height. The platforms are set up beginning with the fourth standard section and there is on such platform every three section.
