Rolling dies

Rolling dies produce no chips and form smaller external threads of high accuracy.

• Rolling dies are used to form smaller screws such as those for cameras and watch winding knob.
• 3 thread rollers, set differently by 1/3 pitch each, form threads by material deformation.
• With no chips produced and with little worry about chipping, rolling dies can form threads of high precision with excellent surface.

Adjustable dies

Conventional dies for cutting external threads.  The adjusting screw enables the die to minutely adjust thread diameter.

• They have the adjusting screw in the slit.
• With help of the adjusting screw, you can minutely adjust thread diameter, larger or smaller.
• For thread cutting, these adjustable dies are most popular. They are used by hand and in machine.

Spiral fluted dies

These dies have chip rooms slantly located and are recommended for cutting threads in hard-to-machine materials.

• Due to slantly located chip rooms, they have high cutting performance and can easily eject chips.
• Direction of chip ejection: Forward in the dies having right hand thread/left hand spiral edge, and backward in the dies having right hand thread/right hand spiral edge.

Spiral pointed dies

Conventional dies for cutting external threads, tough enough for heavy cutting.

• They have spiral pointed flutes on their cutting chamfer. Having the similar effect as spiral
• fluted dies, they push forward chips and reduce the trouble caused by chips.

Pipe dies (for taper threads and for parallel threads)

Pipe dies are used to cut taper threads and parallel threads being used for pipe and pipe conduits.

• They are used for cutting taper threads and parallel threads.
• Dies for parallel threads are available only in adjustable type.

Autodies for auto lathe use

Solid dies for auto lathe use.  Excellent in cutting performance and superior in durability.

• Having smaller OD and thinner thickness, autodies do not cause higher vibration during high speed auto lathe cutting and ensure stable external thread cutting.
• Being solid type, autodies guarantee the thread cutting in less dispersion under severe cutting condition.
• They have 2 types depending on materials, BR series for brass and ST series for steel.
