Twain 80 is a hydrophilic surfactant that has a strong role in rupture of cell membranes and causes irritation, hemolysis and histamine release (allergenic). Twain 80 as a polymer itself is extremely volatile, high purity Twain 80 is colorless transparent, while most Twain products are slightly yellow to brown, containing a large number of impurities or degradation products.
