Pituitary Follicle Stimulating Hormone for injection (FSH)
Description: This product is white or off-white freeze-dried blocks or powder.
Function and use: Hormone drug.It can promote the growth and development of ovarian follicles for female animals and promote the secretion of ovarian estrogen together with LH, causing normal estrus.It stimulates the development of seminiferous tubule epitheliums and secondary spermatocytes of male animals, and promotes spermatogenesis together with LH.
It is commonly applied:
1. In super-ovulation of embryo transplantation.
2. To cure failure to come into estrus due to inactive ovarian function.
3. To cure multiple -follicle development due to ovarian hypofunction and infertility due to alternate development of follicles on both sides.
4. In persistent corpus luteum.
Usage and dosage: When injected,it shall be diluted with sterile water for injection or sterilized saline water.
I.Application in Cattle Reproduction
1. Super ovulation:Intramuscular injection of 500-600IU in total;it shall be injected at 8 different times with decrement method and equal volume method;it shall be applied on the eighth to fourteenth day(the ninth to twelfth day is better)after the donor cattle come into estrus.
2. Treatment of stationary ovarian function or hypofunction:Intramuscular injection of 200IU of FSH,when the function is stationary,100IU of LH shall be used cooperatively;the dosing shall be repeated once if it is ineffective.
II. Application in Sheep Reproduction
1. Super Ovulation:the ewe shall be pretreated with progestational hormone for 12-14days,and then treated for super-ovulation 2 days before the end of the pretreatment; or the ewe shall be given an intramuscular injection of FSH on twelfth or thirteenth day of estrus cycle for 3 consecutive days(sheep) or 4 consecutive days(goat) with an interval of 12 hours;the total dose shall be 200-500IU.
2. Estrus control: In anestrous season,pretreatment with progestational hormone for 14 days and intramuscular injection of 50IU of FSH 1 day before the end of the pretreatment and on that very day of the pretreatment,respecitively,can induce the estrus of ewes and attain a higher rate of synchronization estrus.
III. Application in Porcine Reproduction
1. Super Ovulation:Intramuscular injection of 300-400IU in total,it shall be injected at 6-8 different times;twice a day for 3-4 consecutive days.
2. Treatment of insufficient amount of sperm for breeding boars: Pituitary follicle stimulating hormone(FSH);once a day for 2-3 consecutive days,and 50IU for each time.
3. Estrus induction: Intramuscular injection of 100-150IU of FSH or 1000-1500IU of PMSG for sows not in estrus over 15 days after ablactation,and intramuscular injection of 0.1-0.2mg of Cloprostenol Sodium (PG) on that very day or the next day.
IV.Other
Intramuscular injection of 20-50IU of FSH for Anoestrous dogs with ovarian hypofunction once a day for 2-3 consecutive days can induce estrus.
Caution:
1. Before using the drug, ovarian changes must be checked, according to which the dose and frequency shall be adjusted.
2. This product shall not be prepared into solution for storage in case of deactivation.
Withdrawal period: No Provisions.
