This product is dibenzyl ethylenediamine salt of penicillin, and its antibacterial active component is penicillin. Penicillin has good antibacterial effect on Streptococcus such as hemolytic streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus without penicillinase. It has moderate antibacterial effect on Enterococcus. Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Bacillus anthracis, actinomycetes bovis, Streptococcus moniliformis, Listeria, leptospira and Treponema pallidum were sensitive to this drug. It also has certain antibacterial activity against Haemophilus influenzae and Bordetella pertussis. This product has good antibacterial effect on Clostridium, Streptococcus peptidans and Bacillus melanogenes, but poor antibacterial effect on Bacteroides fragilis. Penicillin plays a bactericidal role by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
