Electric submersible pump 
Electric submersible pump is a part of downhole ESP system. It is installed between tubing and intake device such as Intake of Gas separator.

Motor
Schlumberger high-efficiency electric submersible pump (ESP) motors are designed for reliable operation in the extreme environments common in oil well applications.

Protector 
It protects the motor from the well fluid.
It provides pressure equalization between the motor and the wellbore.
It carries the thrust load of the pump.
It compensates motor oil volume during ESP system operation.
It transfers torque from Motor to Intake devices and Pump.

Intake 
Intake is installed between pump and protector and serves as fluid supplier for pump.
 
Gas separator 
When reservoir fluid has high free gas content at pump intake, such key parameters of the pump as flow rate and developed pressure 
are deteriorated significantly.In this case a Gas separator is usually installed before the pump to recover its efficiency and allow higher 
initial gas content in fluid.
