General Introduction to Liquid Glucose Syrup


Our Liquid Glucose Syrup is made from corn starch through doufble enzyme techniquie.
Liquid Glucose is colourless, transparent viscous liquid with sweet taste and frangrance
of maltose.

It may be used in candy, drinks, and beer brewage, and the main content is glucose, maltose
maltotriose, as well polysaccharide.

Application

1)  Confectionary & Ice Cream Industry

The used Glucose in making Jams and Jelllies is to prevent their cane sugar ingrediant from
getting crytallized. 

Besides, Glucose syrup can also prevent spollage of the product without unduly increasing its 
sweetness. 

In Confectionary, hard candies are entirely made out of Glucose syrup without adding cane sugar.

In Ice Ceam, Glucose syrup not only prevents sucrose crytallization but also imparts a smoother
texture.

2)  Bakery Industry
Commercial bankeries do use liquid glucose for pies, cream fillings, eclairs and candies.

3)  Tobacco Industry

Glucose is used in the preparation of chewing tobacco to impart flavour, to promote desirable texture,
and keeping qualities. It is also used for flavouring and dressing tobacco for cigarettes.

4)  In Pharmaceutical Industry

It is used as a base for various liqud formulations,such as, tonics, elixirs,cough syrup and etc.
It has a moderate sweetness, which is preferable to the excessive sweet of sugar. Also it has an
advantage of not crystallizing when stored.

5)  Tanning Industry

The action of glucose in tanning gives pliabitiy and weight to the leather. In the chroma process,
glucose syrup is used because of reducing the action. This caused the chrome to be precipitated 
into the body of the leather approx. 5% of the weight of the finished leather is introduced in the form
of sugar.
