Applications
Mainly used as sulfuric acid catalyst.
Vanadium catalyst usually contains 5% ~ 10% vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), which is the main component with catalytic activity. In addition to vanadium pentoxide, the catalyst also contains potassium oxide (K2O) or sodium oxide (Na2O) as co-catalyst to increase the activity of vanadium catalyst. Diatomite (mostly silicon dioxide) is used as the carrier to increase the surface area of the catalyst's active component in contact with the gas.
