Where is mild steel used?

Mild steel has many applications that include construction (especially to  meet seismic or wind requirements), machine parts and pipelines.

As mild steel is difficult to break and easy to form, it is also used in sculptures and outdoor designs (e.g. fences). To prevent corrosion, it is usually galvanised or painted.
