1. For treatment of breast cancer after surgery, as well as for metastasis in both pre and post-menopausal women
2. Arimidex is a potent selective triazole aromatase inhibitor that inhibits the aromatase that cytochrome P-450 is dependent on to prevent the biosynthesis of estrogen. Estrogen is the main stimulating factor for breast cancer cell growth. This drug's half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) value to human placental aromatase is 15nmol/L. Compared to the traditional drug, Arimidex can comprehensively and effectively lower the risks of breast cancer recurrence and metastasis, thus extending patients' disease-free survival.
3. Arimidex is suitable for treating postmenopausal advanced breast cancer patients, especially postmenopausal advanced breast cancer patients who experienced recurrence following hormone assisted therapy.
