Principle
The working principle of the laser road surface roughness meter is that the test car travels on the road at a certain speed. The laser sensor fixed on the chassis of the car tests the road surface by testing the angle of the laser beam reflected back to the reader. This distance signal is the same as the acceleration of the test car. The signals of the gauges are mutually different (the secondary integration of acceleration obtains the bumpy displacement of the car), eliminating the bumpy factors of the test car itself, and outputting the true cross-section signal of the road surface. The signal processing system converts the analog signal from the laser sensor into a digital signal and records it. As the car travels, data is collected at regular intervals. Through the data analysis system, the flatness detection indicators such as the International Flatness Index IRI can be calculated.
