A. What is Polyoxymethylene (POM)?

Polyoxymethylene (POM), also known as acetal, polyacetal and polyformaldehyde, is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability.
POM is commonly extruded as continuous lengths of round or rectangular section. These sections can be cut to length and sold as bar or sheet stock for machining.

High mechanical strength and rigidity
The highest fatigue strength
Excellent environment resistance and organic solvents resistance
Can be used in - 40ºC~ 100ºC temperature range for long-term
Good electrical insulation, almost not influenced by temperature and humidity
Repeated impact resistance is strong, good resilience, self lubricity and good abrasion resistance, dimension stability.

C. POM Sheets & Rods Applications

Mechanical gears, sliding and guiding elements, housing parts, springs, chains, screws, nuts, fan wheels, pump parts, valve bodies.
Electrical Engineering: insulators, bobbins, connectors, parts for electronic devices such as televisions, telephones, etc.
Vehicle: Fuel sender unit, Light stock (including shifter for light, turn signal), power windows, door lock systems, articulated shells.
Model: Model Railway parts, such as bogies and handle bars. POM tougher than ABS, in bright translucent colors, and not paintable.
Packaging: aerosol cans, vehicle tanks.

A: According to the difficulty and quantity of product processing,a reasonable arrival time will be given to you. Usually 2-5 days for CNC machine processing parts. It will take around 2-4 weeks for mold making.

3. Q: Do you provide samples ? is it free or extra ?
A: Yes, we could offer the sample for free charge but do not pay the cost of freight.
