2, Multilayer pipe Introduction:
Multilayer pipes are a "composite pipe", which are made of composite materials with a five layers' structure. The inner & outer layers are regularly made of PEX/ PERT (or HDPE) material, middle layer is aluminum core, which is welded in a seamless laser welding technology or overlap welding technology. To bond the PEX layers to aluminum layer, a special adhesive shall be used. This pipe has been widely used for hot & cold water plumbing systems, underfloor heating systems & indoor gas distributions.,etc.

3, Difference between butt welding & overlap welding of multilayer pipe:

Overlap welding technology is ultrasonic type welding, by using ultrasonic to weld the aluminum in a overlap way.
Butt welding technology, also called "seamless butt laser welding", is to weld the aluminum by laser in a seamless butt welding way.

From the data of 20+ years of the experience, we note that:
customers are mainly using ALPEX/ALPERT 16-32mm pipes for building's cold&hot water system, and radiator heating system.
And the customers are preferring ultrasonic overlapped welding PEX-AL-PEX/PERT-AL-PERT/PPR-AL-PPR pipe machine more.
