Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat a number of bacterial infections.This includes bone and joint infections, intra
abdominal infections, certain type of infectious diarrhea, respiratory tract infections, skin infections, typhoid fever, and
urinary tract infections, among others.

For some infections it is used in addition to other antibiotics.It can be taken by mouth or used intravenously.
 

Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride / HCL is mainly used to treat:

1. Infection of the genitourinary system, including simple, complicated urinary tract infection, bacterial prostatitis, neisseria gonorrhea or cervicitis (including the production of enzyme strains).

2. Respiratory tract infection, including acute bronchial infection caused by sensitive gram-negative bacilli, and pulmonary infection.

3. Gastrointestinal tract infection, which is caused by shigella, salmonella, escherichia coli, hydrophilic aeromonas and parahaemolyticus.

4. Typhia.

5. Bone and joint infection.

6. Skin and soft tissue infection.

7. Septicemia and other systemic infections.
