DAS Combination Seal is a double acting piston seal consisting of three parts: an elastomer A, two support rings B, and two guide rings C.
Elastomer A has a special cross-section, three sealing lip close to the cylinder wall (dynamic seal). The middle lip thicker, play a major sealing effect, the other two lip seal from the secondary role. The bottom side is in close contact with the bottom of the piston groove (static seal), the contact surface is relatively large.
The bearing ring B is positioned on both sides of the A to locate the function. To support the elastomer A and to prevent the occurrence of a radial seal gap. The support ring B is stepped, and a plurality of projections are provided on the side contacting the seal member to prevent rotation of the seal ring during operation.
The guide ring C has a rectangular shape, and is mounted on the piston to guide and absorb the axial force. The guide ring up and down are open a few axial grooves, the pressure oil can flow through the guide ring, so that the elastic body A can feel the full working pressure and in the direction of the rapid release of pressure. This effectively prevents the generation of a continuous super-high pressure before the elastomer A is produced.
DAS combination of sealing material from the inside and outside the hardness gradually increased, according to its characteristics, respectively, to seal, support and guide role. The DAS combination is a self-tight double acting seal. In the initial state, the elastomer A deforms to produce a radial preload and increases as the system pressure increases, resulting in a complete sealing force, even if the system is not pressurized.
