Clenbut-er-ol hcl is an epinephr-ine drug, which is a beta 2 receptor agonist. In the early '80s, an American company stumbled upon it. Clenbuter-ol hcl significantly promotes the growth of animals and increases lean meat rates. It can change the metabolic pathways in animals and promote the synthesis of muscle, especially in skeletal muscle, and inhibit the synthesis of fats. Thus accelerate the growth rate and lean meat rate, and improve body quality. This new discovery was soon used by some countries for aquaculture. After the addition of clembuterol hydrochloride in feed, the growth rate and lean meat rate of livestock and poultry, such as pigs, could be increased by more than 10%.
