Used for Rose-Bengal Plate Agglutination Test to diagnose brucellosis Usage
Take 0.03ml test serum and 0.03ml t antigen, mix, and observe the result within 4
minutes. When appear +,the result is evaluated as positive. For animals with positive
reactions, further complement fixation tests or other diagnostic tests must be
performed.
Criteria for agglutination
++++ Large aggregated areas or particles appear, and the liquid is completely
transparent.
+++ Obvious agglomerated particles, and the liquid is almost completely
transparent.
++ Partly obvious agglomerated particles, and the liquid is slightly transparent.
+ Little agglomeration, and liquid turbidity.
- No coagulation, uniform liquid, turbidity
Caution:(1) Shake it well before use. Do not use it when there are contaminated or shaken
clots.
(2) The antigen and serum should be left at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes
before testing.
