This product is an organic synthesis intermediate. The pharmaceutical industry is used for the synthesis of the drug methyldopa, and also for the production of the veterinary drug sulfanilamide synergist diamecin. The veterinary drug was added into the feed at a rate of 0.02% (by weight) to increase the effect of iodiamine added in the feed to prevent and control the bacterial infection of poultry.
