Product Description

The Toxoplasma gondii IgG/IgM Rapid Test Kit is a rapid qualitative lateral flow test designed for the quantitive detection of IgM antibodies to Toxoplasma gondii (TOXO) in human serum/plasma/whole blood samples.
It has 3 pre-coated lines, "G"(Toxoplasma IgG Test Line), "M" (Toxoplasma IgM Test Line) and "C" (Control Line) on the surface of the membrane. All three lines in result window are not visible before applying any samples. The "Control Line" is used for procedural control. Control line should always appear if the test procedure is performed properly and the test reagents of control line are working. A purple "G" and "M" lines will be visible in the result window if there are enough IgG and/or IgM antibodies toToxoplasma in the sample. If IgG and/or IgM antibodies to Toxoplasma are not present in the sample, there is no color appearance in "G" and/or "M".indings.

Test procedure

1. Remove the appropriate number ofanti Toxoplasma gondii-IgG/IgM test pouches from the kit box.
2. Tear open the foil pouch and remove the device. Lay the test device on a clean, flat work surface.
3. Add 2 drops (approximately 60μl) of serum or plasma into sample well with a pipette.
If whole blood, add 1 drop (approximately 30μl) into sample well with a pipette.Then add 2 drops (approximately 60μl) of wash buffer provided in the dropper bottle holding the bottle vertically from the sample well.

4. Wait for the red line to appear. The result should be read at 10-15 minutes, result will be invalid after 15 minutes.

Interpretation of results

IgM positive:The control line (C) and IgM line (M) are visible on the test device. This is positive for IgM antibodies to Toxoplasma.

IgG positive:The control line (C) and IgG line (G) are visible on the test device. This is positive for IgG antibodies to
Toxoplasma.

IgM and IgG positive:The control line (C), IgM (M) and IgG line (G) are visible on the test device.This is positive for both IgM and IgG antibodies to Toxoplasma.

Negative test result:The control line is only visible on the test device. No IgG and IgM antibodies were detected.

Invalid test result:The control line (C), IgM (M) and IgG line (G) are visible on the test device.This is positive for both IgM
and IgG antibodies to Toxoplasma.

Note: It is normal to have a slightly lightened control band with very strong positive samples as long as it is distinctly
visible.
