3) Application
Cement basket is like an inverted umbrella without handle. Cement basket is an effective aid in retaining and supporting the cement where weak formations and stage cementing is encountered.
Cement basket is usded during the cementing operation of dangling cementing segment. It is a isolated device to prevent the the replacement and sedimentation of cement slurry and drilling fluid.
The cement basket is installed on the bottom of dangling cementing segment, in order to support the cement at annulus. It can prevent or reduce the loss of cement slurry and protect the weak formation to avoid overmuch static pressure because of the weight of cement string.
4) Structure
It is consisted of collar, canvas or steel blade and spring bows. The canvas is fixed in the bows as funnel shape.
