Introduction
This Flammability Tester is suitable for the textile fabric.
The sample is placed at an angle of 45°, ignited for 1 second, and the time required for the sample to burn upward for a certain distance is used as a measure of the severity of the textile burning .

Standards
• ASTM D1230:Standard Test Method for Flammability of Apparel Textiles has been released. The test method detailed in this standard evaluates the flammability of consumer textile fabrics. It is applicable to apparel items other than children's sleepwear or protective clothing.
• CA TB 117 :California Technical Bulletin 117 is a California fire safety law, first implemented in 1975. It has recently been updated as a Technical Bulletin 117-2013. The law requires fabric to pass a smoldering test. The test exposes fabrics and foams to burning cigarettes for 45 minutes. The ignition and char level are measured, with the goal being that the cigarette extinguishes without the fabric or foam igniting.
