Benfotiamine is fat-soluble thiamine (vitamin B1) derivative that, upon entry into the body, is converted into the physiologically active vitamin B1. Compared with water-soluble vitamin B1, the bioactivity of phenylphosphothiamine is higher, and the bioavailability is about 3.6 times.
