Rutabaga is a plant of the genus Rutabaga of the Gramineae family. Its fresh grass, leaf and stem, can be steam distilled to obtain 0.7-1% of volatile oil, namely ruta oil. This substance is a colorless or light yellow oily liquid with strong penetrating and transparent properties. Special smell.
