COMPOSITION:
Diminazene diaceturate                                  1.05 g
Antipyrine                                                           1.31 g / sachet
DESCRIPTION:
Diminazene diaceturate is an antiprotozoal substance active against the following babesiosis (piroplasmosis) causing agents: Babesia bigemina, B. divergens, B. bovis in cattle; B. caballi and B. equi in horses; B. ovis in sheep; B. canis and B. gibsoni in dogs and Theileria annulata in cattle.It is highly effective against Trypanosoma congolense and T. vivax and moderately active against T. bruceï, T. evansi and T. equiperdum.Resistance against diminazene diaceturate only seldom was reported.Antipyrine (phenazone) reduces fever especially in case of babesiosis.
INDICATIONS:
-For the treatment of babesiosis and theileriasis in animals. For the sterilisation of babesia infections in ruminants and horses to be exported or moved to disease free areas.
-For the treatment of canine malignant icterus.
-For the treatment and prevention of trypanosomiasis in animals.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Multiple therapeutic doses can produce severe nervous signs and prominent haemorrhagic and malacic lesions of the cerebellum, midbrain, and thalamus in dogs.
After multiple therapeutic doses degenerative fatty changes can occur in liver, kidneys, myocardium and muscles.
Multiple therapeutic doses can produce prominent haemorrhagic and malacic lesions of the cerebellum and the thalamus in cattle.

 DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For subcutaneous or intramuscular administration:
General: 1 ml. per 20 kg. body weight. (1.05 gram per 300 kg. body weight).
Dissolve 1.05 gram powder in 15 ml. sterile water before use.

 WITHDRAWAL TIMES:
- For meat: 21 days.
- For milk: 4 days.
